codesearch software package provides regular expression search over large bodies of source code, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install codesearch
codesearch is installed in your system.
Make ensure the codesearch package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep codesearch *
You will get with codesearch package name, version, architecture and description in a table
